Archaea - Jason Brauer

Notes: Archaea are odd little microorganisms that live in bizzarre habitats. They have been found at the bottom of volcanic ocean vents at scorching temperatures, as well as in the hot springs of Yellowstone National Park. Scientists believe that if we find life on Mars, it will probably be an Archaeon. This strange, untouched world was the driving force behind "Archaea" the piece. I used a few odd chords and lots of chromatic scales to capture that mystery. I should also note that this is my hardest piano piece to date.
