I'm proud to announce my new choral piece, "Hymn to the Morning," written for the Blue Mountain High School chorus. Thanks to Mrs. Marra and the rest of the BMHS chorus for a fantastic premiere! 

Thank you to everyone who made Sunday's performance of "Piano Concerto No. 1" possible!  I owe an especially large debt of gratitude to Dr. Mark Thomas, the Anthracite Philharmonic's conductor who asked me to perform with the group in the first place, and to the performers and audience members willing to support me.  You're the best!  The performance was professionally recorded, so a video should be on YouTube soonish.

After nine months of intensely staring at my laptop, I'm happy to announce I've written a piano concerto for the Anthracite Philharmonic!  It will be performed in St. Ambrose RC Church, Schuylkill Haven, PA at 3:00 on April 15, 2018. Hope you like it!

"Tango de Manchachicoj" has received second place in the MTNA National Composition Competition, Senior Division!  I cannot express how incredibly honored I feel to have received this award.  Congratulations to the winner and to the third place recipient, who coincidentally was in my class of composers at Interlochen.

"Tango de Manchachicoj" has been selected as the winner for the Northeast Region of the MTNA Composition Contest, senior division! It will automatically advance to the national competition, which will be announced by the end of January. If I win there, I'll win a cash prize and I'll get to have the piece performed at the MTNA National Conference in Baltimore!

I had an amazing experience at Interlochen Arts Camp this summer, and wrote five new pieces in six weeks: The Acrobat, Romance for Woodwind Quintet, Theme and Modulations, Tango de Manchachicoj, and Solar Suite for Brass Quintet.

 I'm very excited to have been accepted into the esteemed Interlochen summer arts camp!  For six weeks, I'll spend my time perfecting my compositional skills in beautiful Michigan.  The countdown begins...  For my entry portfolio, I submitted Surviving by Firelight, Three Deathly Sonnets, and Archaea.
